Guidelines for Preparing Scientific Paper Presentations

Scientific paper presentations are scheduled as 12 minute oral presentations with an additional 3 minutes allowed for questions and changeover to the next presenter. Regardless the number of co-authors, only the first author is permitted to present their work. Co-authors or multiple presenters are not permitted. Please note that presenting authors must be registered at the meeting. Authors may be assigned to paper sessions that occur during any of the four meeting days and therefore must be able to attend regardless of when scheduled.

Standard audiovisual equipment is provided and includes: an LCD projector and computer (Microsoft Windows and Office Suite (MS Powerpoint), CD Drive, USB port). Due to time restrictions, presenters are not permitted to use their own computer for presentations. Presenters must arrive before the start of their session and check in with their session moderator to transfer any presentation files needed to the computer in the room. Please confirm ahead of time that your presentation is compatible with the supplied equipment in the Speaker Ready Room.

If you need any additional audiovisual equipment, please contact Christina Velasquez at ChristinaV@aaoptom.org.
